# Why am I getting a "Too Many Requests"?

Please note that, since September 2024, the system has been tightened to prevent abuse. This information is based on insights gathered from various community sources. Below are some common reasons for receiving a "Too Many Requests" error and their explanations:

## Login on a New Device

**Why does this happen?**

Based on the information we’ve gathered, since the recent security updates, accounts logged into on more than 2-3 devices are more likely to encounter a "Too Many Requests" error due to stricter account limitations. This is especially common for game accounts, such as *Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero*, where multiple device logins can trigger security restrictions.

**Directly Changing Account Information**

Although this hasn’t been officially confirmed, we have received numerous reports indicating that accounts are at a higher risk of receiving a "Too Many Requests" error after directly changing account details, such as email, password, or phone number. This risk is particularly high if changes are made before the account has been active on the new device for 2-5 calendar days.

## Changing Account Data Simultaneously with Other Accounts

**Why does this happen, even though the account has been registered on your device for a long time?**

We believe the system may interpret this as spam. As you may know, many reroll accounts—especially those with abundant resources like Primogems, Polychrome, Stellar Jade, and others—are often created using scripts or bots. This practice has led the system to impose restrictions on rapid data changes across multiple accounts at once, as a preventative measure against bot-generated accounts. Consequently, simultaneous account changes may trigger the "Too Many Requests" error as a result of these security limits.

## Rapid Account Switching

**Why does this happen?**

As we previously mentioned, this is due to system restrictions or anomaly detection. When accounts are switched too quickly, the system may interpret this behavior as spam or even as bot activity. To protect against automated actions, the system enforces limits that may lead to a "Too Many Requests" error for rapid account switching.
